The 2015 Short Story Competition, run by the Bedford Writing Competition, has just been launched. This is the second year they have run this contest and they hope it will be as exciting as last. BWC is a non-profit making organisation and any proceeds will be donated to charity.
This year the competition is for short stories of up to 3000 words in length, on any theme. Prizes have increased in value with £200, £100 and £50 being awarded to the first, second and third placed stories respectively by the judge and award winning novelist, Leigh Russell..
They are also awarding the Bedford Prize of £50 to the best story submitted from a resident of Bedford Borough.
The prizewinning and shortlisted stories will also be published as an anthology in Kindle ebook format.
