First Prize – £200: Tracey Glasspool, Tiverton, Devon, for her story: My Grandmother, The Deep Sea Diver.
Tracey Glasspool lives in Devon with her husband and sons and loves entering competitions. She has been lucky enough to win or be placed in several, including Writers Forum, Writing Magazine, Exeter Writers and Hysteria. She also writes short stories for women’s magazines, with stories published in The People’s Friend and Take a Break. She is currently working on a non-fiction book for Pen & Sword, and while she is enjoying the research she is really looking forward to getting back to making stuff up.
Second Prize – £100: Michael White, Telford, Shropshire, for his story Snakeskin
Third prize – £50: Mike Watson (location not yet known) for his story Papa Bombo
Mike Watson has written for magazines and has won prizes for his short stories. In 2012 Mike’s short story for children called “Earthstrider” was published. He enjoys fishing, classical guitar and creating characters for stories.
